DEVELOPMENT TECHNICIAN/TEST EN IN WARWICKSHIRE

Development Engineering Technician sought for leading off-highway vehicle manufacturer based in Warwickshire.

Reporting to the Development Engineer and working closely with development and design engineers, you will be required to work within the engineering workshop where you will be involved in the following:

Build new prototypes.
Modify existing vehicles for testing.
Build/develop and run test rigs.
Conducting a variety of proving tests either on site or other locations as required.
Write reports on testing conducted and conclusions drawn from test results.
Help to maintain technical files.
Work closely in conjunction with various suppliers to develop system solutions.

Development Engineering Technician Requirements:

Knowledge of vehicle systems is essential, especially hydraulic and electrical together with previous experience of working on construction and/or agricultural machinery in a similar, service or maintenance role.

Knowledge and / or practical use of commonly used vehicle test equipment are preferred but training is available where necessary.

This job carries a responsibility to ensure all aspects of health and safety are considered and that on completion of all tests results are analysed and presented for discussion. For this reason good communication together with PC skills are essential.

You will need to have completed an apprenticeship or training and be educated to at least City & Guilds technician level in mechanical or agricultural engineering.
